KPCC’s Missing Music
Judith Michaelson’s article on KPCC changing formats and letting Minnesota Public Radio take over leaves me baffled (“Building KPCC’s New Framework,” April 1). The music programming at night was skillful and creative and Minnesota Public Radio’s Craig Curtis obviously doesn’t get it.
His comment, “If we could . . . do something with the entertainment industry--a creative idea we haven’t even imagined,” is absurd. Record companies have often brought by talent to perform live during the music segments at night. Why will we be subjected to someone from Minnesota telling us what we need?
Hearing the same NPR programs on three different stations makes no sense at all. Will Jesse Ventura be a consultant? I will not become a member of the current KPCC fiasco unless you bring back the music at night. The KPCC board has been hoodwinked.
