Carol E. Moore; Retired Audit Supervisor
Carol E. Moore, a retired audit supervisor, died suddenly at her Ventura home Tuesday. She was 68.
Born in Oxnard on April 7, 1931, she was a lifelong county resident.
She worked for 31 years as an audit supervisor for Sears Roebuck Co. in Ventura before retiring.
Moore was a member of Ventura Baptist Church and a former member of Camino Real Women’s Club in Ventura. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.
She is survived by a daughter, Nanci Skinner of Neenah, Wis.; sons Roger Moore of Napa and Lynn Chapman of Ohio; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura, which is handling the arrangements.
Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alvin Lay and the Rev. Lewis McClendon of the Ventura Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
Flowers may be sent to the Ted Mayr Funeral Home or contributions may be made to the Heart Assn. of Ventura County.
