Chaminade Capitalizes on Louisville Error, 4-3
Lindsey Weinstein scored from third base on an error in the seventh inning and Chaminade High defeated Louisville, 4-3, in a Mission League softball game on Friday at Chaminade Middle School.
Weinstein singled, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on an error by third baseman Heather Wabtrobski to cap a three-run rally in the inning.
Meghan Holdbrook started the outburst with a run-scoring triple and later scored to pull the Eagles even, 3-3.
Christina Lupacchini threw a three-hitter for Chaminade (3-6, 2-0 in league).
Notre Dame 2, Flintridge Sacred Heart 0--Amanda De La Cerda and Cheryl Acosta scored on a throwing error in the sixth inning in a Mission League game at Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Park.
De La Cerda (3-6) threw a three-hitter with three strikeouts for Notre Dame (3-8, 1-2).
Adrian Herlache struck out four and allowed six hits for Flintridge Sacred Heart (11-5, 1-3).
Calabasas 6, Santa Paula 0--Amy Rosson struck out eight and finished with a two-hitter in a Frontier League victory at Calabasas.
Sara Hall had three hits with three runs batted in and Krystle Chamberlain added two hits for Calabasas (11-3, 6-0).
Paraclete 9, Palmdale 1--Cathryn Buttrey had four RBIs in a nonleague game at Paraclete.
Lauren McDonald struck out six and added two RBIs for the Spirits (6-8).
Granada Hills Hillcrest Christian 6, Highland Hall 5--Michelle Suarez scored from second base on a throwing error in the ninth inning of a Westside League game at Hillcrest Christian (9-1, 5-1).
Suarez struck out eight and allowed five hits. She was victimized by four errors.
Sadie Phillips struck out eight for Highland Hall.
