Freeway, Orange League All-Stars Play Tonight

Freeway League seniors will play Orange League seniors tonight at 7 at Fullerton High in the Northern Orange County Senior All-Star boys’ soccer game.

Fullerton’s George Shumaker will coach the Freeway team and Matt Swindle of Brea Olinda will coach the Orange. Admission is free.

WATER POLO

UC Irvine water polo players John Dorfi, Dan Hayes and Mark Merlo have been named to the American Water Polo Coaches Assn. All-Academic team.

Dorfi, a sophomore, is majoring in political science and philosophy. Hayes, a junior, is majoring in political science. Merlo, also a junior, is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Each maintained a grade-point average of 3.2 or better. The Anteaters were also honored as a team by the association for maintaining a combined GPA of better than 2.75.
