Lancaster Rally Rocks the Quakes, 8-5
Juan Silvestre hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning and the Lancaster JetHawks scored four more runs in the sixth to defeat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 8-5, Saturday night in a California League game in front of 6,567 at the Epicenter in Rancho Cucamonga.
Silvestre’s home run cut the Quakes’ lead to 5-4.
Lancaster (11-6) is in first place in the California League South Division, two games ahead of Lake Elsinore, which was beaten at San Bernardino, 4-1.
The Quakes (8-9), who defeated Lancaster, 7-4, on Friday night, remain in fourth place in the South Division.
