THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Monday:
BREA
* East Birch Street: Grand theft was reported in the 1700 block at 6:58 p.m. Sunday.
FULLERTON
* Larkwood Drive: A burglary was reported in the 2500 block 10:13 p.m. Sunday.
GARDEN GROVE
* Galway Street at Garden Grove Boulevard: A Garden Grove man was arrested on suspicion of vandalism at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday. Witnesses reported to police that the suspect was “tagging” the roof of a business. Police surrounded the building and caught the suspect when he came down from the roof. Police found spray paint on the roof.
* Harbor and Garden Grove boulevards: An Anaheim man was arrested on suspicion of assault with nunchuakas at 1:08 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect was chasing another man, who was armed with Mace, until they were captured by police. The two had been involved in a traffic accident.
LA HABRA
* South Beach Boulevard: Vandalism was reported in the 500 block at 2:34 p.m. Sunday.
LAKE FOREST
* El Toro Road: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 24000 block at 6:20 p.m. Friday.
LA PALMA
* Orangethorpe Avenue: Reports of a reckless driver in the 5600 block at 8:49 p.m. Saturday.
* Festival Circle: A petty theft was reported in the 5400 block at 7:19 p.m. Friday.
* Moody Street: A petty theft was reported in the 8400 block at 3:54 p.m. Friday.
MISSION VIEJO
* Chrisanta Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 24800 block at 10:49 a.m. Friday.
* Charlinda Drive: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 25100 block at 11:40 p.m. Thursday.
PLACENTIA
* South Jefferson Street: One shot was heard in the 300 block at 10:10 p.m. Saturday.
* McCormack Lane: An evicted roommate was refusing to leave at 8:31 a.m. Sunday.
RANCHO SANTA
MARGARITA
* Aliento: A juvenile was reported missing in the 100 block at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday.
TUSTIN
* Alray Place: An abandoned vehicle was found in the 12300 block at 6:36 p.m. Friday.
VILLA PARK
* Serrano Avenue: A report of vandalism in the 17800 block at 6:24 a.m. Monday.
YORBA LINDA
* Oak Burl Drive: Grand theft was reported in the 16700 block at 1:15 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Orange, Santa Ana, Seal Beach and Westminster.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
