Buy.com Pays $4 Million in Stock for Telstreet.com
Internet retailer Buy.com Inc. said Thursday it completed its acquisition of Telstreet.com, an Internet retailer of wireless phones, service and accessories, adding another category of products to the Aliso Viejo company’s Web site.
Buy.com issued 1.36 million shares of stock worth about $4 million, based on the Thursday closing price, for the acquisition. Buy.com’s stock closed at $2.97, off 3 cents a share, in Nasdaq trading.
Telstreet is based in Indianapolis. Buy.com’s Web site also includes computer products, software, consumer electronics, books, music, videos and DVDs, games, golf, travel and clearance items.
