Woman Found Slain in Luxury Apartment
STUDIO CITY — The body of a 39-year-old woman who was apparently murdered was found Thursday afternoon in a luxury apartment off Ventura Boulevard, police said.
Paramedics were summoned to the 4100 block of Arch Drive just before 2 p.m. by a caller who said that someone had been shot, said Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department. Police were still investigating the death Thursday night and could not confirm whether the woman died from gunshot wounds.
Det. Steve Metz of the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division said the victim, who was found by a friend, was staying in the second-floor apartment but was not a tenant. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.
