The Art of Outreach

My husband and I went to the theater opening and gallery viewing at the new Norton Simon Museum (“An Old Master Embraces the New,” by Suzanne Muchnic, Dec. 3). In a word: It’s about time!
As an art educator, I have always bemoaned the fact that there was no educational programming for this superb collection and I wondered why a lesser collection (at the Getty) had such a spectacular outreach program. Finally, at long last, the Simon does its show of shows.
Thank you for bringing this renaissance to the attention of Los Angeles. Now, L.A., go out and see for yourselves what an utter joy art can be!
