Texas Christian’s Gary Patterson will be making his head coaching debut tonight in Mobile, Ala., when the Horned Frogs (10-1) face Southern Mississippi (7-4) in the Mobile Alabama Bowl. Patterson replaced Dennis Franchione on Dec. 8. Said Patterson: “The only guy that’s different is me, and I’ve got more control over me than most do--except my wife.” . . .
