Ice Dogs Beat Wolves in Shootout

CHICAGO — Long Beach goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin stopped all five shooters he faced and Pavel Rosa beat Chicago’s Andrei Trefilov to lead the Ice Dogs to a 4-3 shootout victory over the Wolves Friday night.
Fran Kaberle scored two goals for the Ice Dogs. He recorded his first goal of the season at 12:18 of the opening period, then broke a 2-2 tie at 11:35 of the second period.
Steve Maltais got the Wolves even with a goal with half a second left in the second period.
