Abortion Issue
Being both a lifelong Democrat and firmly pro-choice on the issue of abortion, I thought that the Feb. 3 commentary by Bruce L. Bialosky was well thought out and good strategy for the Republican Party.
Only his concluding paragraph fails the test of logic. When Bialosky states that “a person can chose to accept abortion or be against it and still be a Republican. That is certainly more than the Democrats can say,” he is completely wrong. Democrats believe that each person is free to be in favor of or against abortion. That person must simply give the same right to all other persons. There can be nothing more clear or simple than that.
