Unaffiliated
* Reading that Grant High School, located in Van Nuys, includes members of approximately 25 different ethnicities--some in direct conflict with others--in its student body (Feb. 11) impels me to take on the U.S. Census Bureau later this year. I intend listing myself as merely “Homo sapiens, tribally unaffiliated” and letting the chips fall where they may. I am sure that most social anthropologists would, if asked, back my stand; which agreement, unfortunately, wouldn’t mean a hill of beans to officialdom. This experience might be interesting.
