GIRLS’ SOCCER PLAYOFF ROUNDUP
In other Division II games:
Edison 2, Whittier La Serna 0--Erin Novak and Shannon Leslie scored for visiting Edison (17-6-3) and Debi Lindenberger assisted on both goals. Edison will play North Torrance.
Mission Viejo 5, La Mirada 0--Kendall Billingsley scored two goals for visiting Mission Viejo (18-6-1). The Diablos will play Hemet.
Jurupa Valley 4, El Dorado 3 (sudden death)--El Dorado (13-9-2) fell behind, 3-1, in overtime, but tied it on goals by Angela Rodriguez and Vannesa Chanez. Angela Zepeda scored the game-winner eight minutes into sudden death.
Santa Margarita 4, University 0--Rebecca Mildrew, Katie Frattone, Jenny Anderson and Shannon Foley each scored a goal for second-seeded Santa Margarita (18-1-3), which plays Riverside Poly.
Sunny Hills 3, El Monte Arroyo 0--Simi Phull assisted on goals by Kelly Glover and Renee Garand and Stacy Pelphrey also scored for the the fourth-seeded Lancers (22-4-2), who play Jurupa Valley.
In Division III:
Brea Olinda 1, Hacienda Heights Los Altos 0--Allie Kuney scored in the 50th minute for host Brea Olinda (16-6-3).
Brea will play Lakewood Mayfair.
El Modena 2, Garden Grove 1--Lindsey Horst scored in the 53rd minute and teammate Juanita Lawson scored five minutes later for host El Modena (16-5-2), which plays the Sonora-Glendora St. Lucy’s winner.
Valencia 2, Ocean View 1--Andrea Giambalvo and Missy Loera scored in the first half and goaltender Erin Duran made 13 saves for visiting Valencia (15-4-2), which plays the Lakewood St. Joseph-West Torrance winner.
Pacifica 2, Canyon 0--Megan McGregor and Sarah Moranville scored for top-seeded Pacifica (21-1-3), which plays Temecula Chaparral.
In Division V:
St. Margaret’s 7, Temecula Linfield 1--Ashley Werk and Shannon Holato each scored two goals and Jenny Zuidema scored once for host St. Margaret’s (19-4-1), which will play the San Pedro Mary Star-L.A. Milken Community winner.
