The Orange County Red Cross is offering a safe food-handling class Feb. 28 at 600 N. Park Center Drive. With the passage of AB1978, each retail food facility in California must have at least one employee or owner complete a food-safety certification examination. The classes teach procedures, including proper storage, handling and kitchen sanitation methods. Classes cost $90 per person and $35 for testing and certification.
