Thousand Oaks Ranked 1st for Quality of Life
A study conducted by a real estate consulting firm ranked Thousand Oaks No. 1 in the county for quality of life and available new housing.
The survey by the Meyers Group considered factors such as employment, proximity to retail services, crime, new home availability, housing affordability, education, attractions and climate.
The purpose of the survey was to determine which areas in Ventura County would be most attractive to a new-home buyer.
The information is gathered to help builders and developers evaluate property locations.
Camarillo ranked second in the survey. The remaining cities, in descending order of ranking, were Simi Valley, Oxnard, Ventura, Ojai, Port Hueneme, Moorpark, Fillmore and Santa Paula.
