LOS ALAMITOS
At a special recent school board meeting, trustees from the Los Alamitos Unified School District decided to fill a vacant seat on the board before the Nov. 7 election.
Donna Artukovic resigned from the board after the Feb. 28 meeting citing that her new job as a schoolteacher in Huntington Beach has limited the time she has available to perform school board-related duties.
Applications for board member will be available starting today at the district office and school sites. The deadline for the applications and resumes will be March 20 at 4 p.m., and a decision will be made March 30. The board member will be installed during the regular board meeting April 10.
