FOUNTAIN VALLEY
The Orange County Water District’s Groundwater Guardian Team, based in Fountain Valley, will present the nation’s largest drinking water festival for children May 2 and 3 at Hidden Valley Park in Irvine.
The fourth annual festival is an environmental education program designed to teach elementary school children in grades three and four about the interdependence of water, soil, plants, trees, animals and humans through more than 50 hands-on booths.
The team is seeking volunteers to help run the booths and escort classes during the event, entitled “Exploring Orange County’s Hidden Treasure: Groundwater.” To participate, call Julie Chestnut at (714) 257-1219.
