SEASON AT A GLANCE: Pearson missed five games because of a sprained ankle, but when he has been on the court, few have been better. The 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 23.9 points and 11.6 rebounds, helping Notre Dame (10-3) win more games than it did all last season.
WEEK AT GLANCE: Pearson was selected most valuable player after leading the Knights to the La Salle tournament championship. He averaged 21.2 points and 11.2 rebounds in four games, including 27 and 10 in the final against St. Bernard. “He’s playing great,” Coach Rob DiMuro said.

YEAR: Senior
SPORT: Basketball
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Galbreath missed much of her junior season because of a broken wrist, but has returned to average 20.3 points and 7.5 rebounds and lead the Highlanders to a 10-3 record. She has made 30 three-point baskets in 79 attempts.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Galbreath, a 5-foot-10 guard-forward, scored 89 points in four games to lead the Highlanders to the Thousand Oaks tournament championship. She scored 22 points in a 69-64 victory over Westlake in the final and was selected most valuable player.
