Burroughs 55, Hart 44--Shaina Zaidi had 24 points and seven assists in a Foothill League opener as host Burroughs (13-4) claimed its first victory over Hart (5-9) in six seasons.
Zaidi, who played on a sprained left ankle, sank six free throws in the final two minutes and made two three-pointers in the second half.
Newbury Park 62, Westlake 41--Bridget Harris scored 13 points for host Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game.
Nancy Pabon had 12 points and Cassandra Harris scored 11 for the Panthers (12-4, 2-0), ranked No. 6 in the region by The Times.
Tawny Thorpe had 11 points and Laurie Kahama 10 for the Warriors.
Agoura 54, Royal 45--Jennifer Lacy had 21 points and 17 rebounds, and the Chargers held the Highlanders to two field goals and seven points in the fourth quarter, rallying to win a Marmonte League game at Royal.
Destiny Sobel had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Agoura (10-7, 1-1), which trailed, 28-22 at halftime.
El Camino Real 64, Granada Hills 51--Christina Aguinaga made seven of nine three-pointers and finished with 26 points and the Conquistadores (9-5) won the championship of the Reseda tournament.
