Molester of Two Girls Expected to Get 5 Years
A 67-year-old chaplains association member who pleaded guilty Tuesday to molesting two young girls is expected to get a five-year prison term when he is sentenced March 7, a prosecutor said.
Fernando Deliz of Fullerton admitted performing sexual acts on two girls, ages 8 and 11, on separate occasions, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Sheila Hanson.
Superior Court Judge Kazuharu Makino indicated that, under the plea-bargain arrangement, the most Deliz would be sentenced to is five years, Hanson said. The maximum term would have been 10 years.
The older girl was molested between Aug. 16, 1996, and Sept. 30, 1997, Hanson said.
