SBC to Provide Phone Service for Convention
SBC Communications, which owns Pacific Bell and Pacific Bell Wireless phone companies, won a contract to provide local, local toll and mobile phone service for the Democratic National Convention to be held in Los Angeles from Aug. 11 to 18. The company will provide the services for convention delegates, media and others attending the event. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
