Applications to fill the City Council seat left by former Councilman Gil Jones will be accepted until 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Three applications have been submitted so far. They are David Hanson, a city traffic commissioner; William Pitchler, a planning commissioner; and resident Fred Armendariz.
The city began accepting resumes for the position Wednesday to temporarily fill the position until a special election Nov. 7.
The position pays $300 a month and normally requires 15 to 20 hours of service a week.
