Applications Sought for Block Grants
The city is accepting applications for federal Community Development Block Grant funds, which are available to local nonprofit organizations serving low- and moderate-income at-risk youth.
The City Council recently approved the release of $80,000 in funds for program improvements, including youth service partnerships and public/private partnerships.
Organizations must commit to matching every dollar in city funds.
Applications are available at the Recreation and Community Services Department, 241 W. 2nd St. The deadline is Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.
An information and technical assistance meeting is scheduled for Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Oxnard Public Library, Meeting Room A, 251 South A St.
