Agoura Charges Past Thousand Oaks, 37-35
Ted Gooch of Agoura High escaped the grasp of Thousand Oaks’ Ron McKee in the second period to earn the only point of the 189-pound match and clinched a 37-35 victory for the Chargers in a Marmonte League wrestling match Thursday at Agoura.
Agoura forced a three-way tie with Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, all with 4-1 league records.
The Chargers (19-6) won four consecutive matches by pin.

Crescenta Valley 9, Hoover 0--Julie Herrold, Rebecca Hidalgo and Shannon Clissold each scored three goals for the No. 6 Falcons (12-2-3, 4-0-1) in a Pacific League match at Glendale Sports Complex.
Chatsworth 3, El Camino Real 0--Leila Pate scored two goals and Tina Essington made six saves in her seventh shutout for the Chancellors (8-3-1, 4-0-1) in a West Valley League game at El Camino Real.
Grant 2, Verdugo Hills 0--Erica Reisig and Karen Recinos scored and Simone Knoff made eight saves in her sixth shutout for the Lancers (7-1-1, 6-0-0) in a Sunset Six League game at Grant.
Rio Mesa 4, Camarillo 2--Brianna Monka scored near the 70th minute for the Spartans (10-6-1, 7-0-1) and broke a 2-2 tie during a Pacific View League game at Rio Mesa.
Sabrina Strache scored twice for Camarillo (11-5, 7-2).
Quartz Hill 8, Littlerock 1--Stephanie True scored five goals in a Golden League game at Littlerock.
True, a sophomore forward, scored four goals in the second half for Quartz Hill (13-1-2, 4-0-2).
Lancaster 4, Antelope Valley 0--Laci Fults and Michelle Hamilton each scored two goals for the Eagles (10-8-1, 4-1-1) in a Golden League game at Lancaster.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Harvard-Westlake 27, Louisville 2--Poloma Slezak, who transferred to Harvard-Westlake (16-2, 6-0) last fall, scored eight goals against her former teammates in a Mission League rout at Louisville.
Jeanine Jackson scored seven goals and Cami Kliner added six.
The Wolverines have outscored league opponents, 156-17.
