BidVantage of Camarillo Picks New Board Member

Ahmed Alfi, who has been involved in private venture investments since 1994, has joined the board of directors for BidVantage Inc. in Camarillo.

Alfi currently manages Netcubator, which creates and nurtures Internet start-ups. His current portfolio of companies includes BroadbandSports.com, an online provider of sports content and products; Insureon.com, an online insurance exchange; and Toytime.com, an online retailer targeting family-oriented products.

Prior to his Internet ventures, Alfi was senior vice president at Jefferies & Co.

BidVantage is a business-to-business electronics marketplace. Its customers include original equipment manufacturers, third-party maintenance organizations and value-added resellers.
