Phyllis Boynton of Oxnard has been elected to a three-year term as president of the Channel Islands chapter of the National Assn. of Investors Corp.
Other chapter officers are Tami Bollay of Santa Barbara, vice president; Sherry Cole of Camarillo, secretary; Judy Powell of Thousand Oaks, co-secretary, and Dorothy Gray of Ventura, treasurer.
The nonprofit organization, which covers Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, promotes investment education for individuals and investment clubs.

Alex Mikonowicz, senior director of Quality Assurance for Siemens Solar Industries in Camarillo, has been reappointed to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Mikonowicz has more than 20 years’ experience in quality assurance management within the computer and semiconductor industries.
The board of examiners comprises quality and business experts from across the U.S. who evaluate award applications and participate in site visits for the quality award.
