Lancaster Wins on Maynard’s Homer
Scott Maynard hit a three-run home run with two out in the ninth inning to give Lancaster a 4-1 victory over the Lake Elsinore Storm at the Hangar in Lancaster on Tuesday night.
Lancaster (17-3), which got three hits from second baseman Willie Bloomquist, stretched its winning streak to 12 games.
Brian Cooper of the Angels gave up four hits and a run in seven innings while making an appearance for Lake Elsinore (6-14).

Juan Silvestre became the first player in professional baseball to reach 100 runs batted in this season when he had two hits, including a three-run double, and four RBIs to lead Lancaster to a 9-1 victory over Lake Elsinore on Monday.
Scott Atchison (3-3) pitched a six-hitter and became the first JetHawk to throw a complete game this season. He had three strikeouts and no walks.
