LAGUNA BEACH
The Festival of Arts is scheduled to hold a special meeting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for members to decide whether to have a recall election of the board.
A simple majority will decide the issue. If the festival members vote in favor of holding the recall election, recall ballots will be sent to members by mail.
The meeting, to be held on festival grounds, is open to the approximately 2,700 voting members. Only members who reside in Orange County can vote.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Irvine Bowl. Festival administrators require members to bring a California driver’s license or passport and a pen. The ballots will be counted by an audit firm hired by the festival.
Results will be posted on the grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road, within 72 hours of the close of the meeting.
