SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
The county homeless coordinator wants to assist the more than 30 people camped out on the city-owned Lower Rosan Ranch, which is slated for development.
“Once I have an invite from the city, I will be working with the county departments and my nonprofit partners to see what we can do about it,” said Karen Roper, homeless coordinator for Orange County.
Home Depot and four other prospective buyers have submitted applications for development of the 13-acre site.
Roper said she plans to visit the site, north of Stonehill Drive and west of Camino Capistrano, to find out more about the situation.
