RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA
Advanced art students at Rancho Santa Margarita Intermediate School are transforming two bare walls into 20-foot murals that stretch across the front of the Rancho Santa Margarita school.
Three art students designed the murals: Aaris King, Katy Wright and Sara Raymond.
Artist Janet Adams and art teacher Andrea Sauer are teaching the students to use paints, including airbrush and spray paint, to create their designs.
Once complete, the mural will be bordered by more than 800 handmade clay tiles created by Rancho Santa Margarita students and parents. Designs must be approved by Sauer and are purchased for $10.
