DANA POINT
The City Council will meet today to consider the proposed expansion of the St. Edward Church School.
City staff has recommended upholding the Planning Commission’s approval for the addition of playing fields and a parking lot on the 2.5-acre parcel.
Neighbors have objected to the project, citing traffic.
The church expansion is within a 25-acre development that is slated for 43 homes by Capital Pacific Holdings of La Palma.
The site, at the north end of Capistrano by the Sea, was formerly occupied by Capistrano by the Sea Hospital.
