THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Monday:
BREA
* East Imperial Highway: An injury accident was reported in the 2500 block at 2:13 p.m. Sunday.
* East Imperial Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 2400 block at 2:45 p.m. Sunday.
* South Flower Avenue: Vandalism was reported in the 400 block at 11:35 a.m. Saturday.
FULLERTON
* Riverside Drive: A burglary was reported in the 1200 block at 11:50 p.m. Saturday.
* West Houston Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 200 block at 8:51 p.m. Saturday.
LA HABRA
* East 1st Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 300 block at 8:16 a.m. Monday.
* East Whittier Boulevard: A hit-and-run was reported in the 300 block at 6:35 p.m. Sunday.
* La Habra Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 1100 block at 1:32 a.m. Sunday.
LOS ALAMITOS
* Farquhar Avenue: A report of vandalism in the 4000 block at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday.
* Chestnut Street: A report of a potential street fight between 15 to 20 juvenile males in the 10900 block at 3:38 p.m. Wednesday.
PLACENTIA
* Kilmer Drive: Two males in a white lowered Chevrolet S-10 truck were shooting birds with a pellet gun at 8:12 p.m. Sunday.
* La Paz Road: A male who went into a pool with clothing was asked to leave at 10:24 p.m. Sunday.
SAN CLEMENTE
* Anabella: A man reported that his car trailer was stolen from the parking lot of his apartment complex in the 3000 block at 1:15 p.m. Friday.
* Avenida San Gabriel: A man reported that his car window was shattered, but nothing was stolen, in the 100 block at 9:20 a.m. Friday.
* Avenida San Pablo: Cement was accidentally dumped on a roadway in the 100 block at 10 a.m. Friday. City workers cleaned it up.
* Camino Capistrano: Deputies broke up a landlord-tenant dispute in the 2900 block at 12:50 p.m. Friday.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
* Camino Capistrano: Four tires were reported stolen from four cars in the parking lot of a dealership in the 33000 block at 8:05 a.m. Friday.
* Camino Capistrano: Four boxes holding miscellaneous items were reported stolen from a business in the 31000 block at 3:40 p.m. Friday. The theft occurred sometime last month, while the new owner was moving in.
* Via Cordova: A woman reported that her Jeep was stolen from in front of her house in the 31000 block at 7:15 a.m. Friday. The keys were apparently left overnight in the unlocked vehicle.
YORBA LINDA
* Savi Ranch Parkway: Petty theft was reported in the 23000 block at 5:11 p.m. Sunday.
* Southview Drive: Vandalism was reported in the 5700 block at 10:39 a.m. Sunday.
* Valley View Boulevard: Petty theft was reported in the 4800 block at 11:52 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, La Palma, Newport Beach, Orange, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Tustin and Westminster.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
