LAGUNA BEACH
The Laguna Beach Unified School District board has revised the district’s mission statement, which guides education strategies and sets behavior standards throughout the district. The document contains separate goals for each of the district’s four schools, and a chart of the district’s governing structure. The six-page document contains behavior guidelines for students, staff, administrators and parents. It encourages students and teachers to discuss cultural differences, and emphasizes mentoring, creativity, teamwork and community service. The board made the revisions at its Tuesday meeting.
