ABT to Hold Summer Ballet Classes in O.C.

American Ballet Theatre will hold its first Orange County summer intensive ballet program Aug. 7-25 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa and at UC Irvine.

One hundred students, ages 13 to 18, will participate in four classes a day. The students were selected through nationwide auditions held in January and February in 17 cities.

In addition to the sites in Orange County, ABT will hold summer intensive programs in New York, Detroit and Tuscaloosa, Ala. The New York-based company will dance “Cinderella” at the center in December. Information: (212) 477-3030, Ext. 3416.
