StarBase Will Buy Software Firm Premia

StarBase Corp. said Thursday it agreed to acquire Premia Corp., a Beaverton, Ore., software firm, for about 1.9 million shares of stock worth more than $25 million.

StarBase, a Santa Ana maker of software tools for building Web sites, said the acquisition is expected to be completed within a week.

The stock closed Thursday at $13.56, up 81 cents a share, in Nasdaq trading. (Dow Jones)
