Irvine’s Trimedyne Names Traveller President, COO

* Shane H. Traveller is the new president and chief operating officer of Trimedyne Inc. in Irvine. Traveller had been the company’s chief financial officer since 1998. Before that, he was president of Pyro Shield Inc., a manufacturer of aerospace and industrial insulation products and chief financial officer of Worldwide Investment Network Inc., a financial services firm. Dean Crawford, who served as chief operating officer since March 1999, will focus on developing new products, the company said. In addition, Glenn D. Yeik was named vice president of product development. He was formerly director of electronic systems with Angiotrax Inc., a medical device company. Yeik had been with Trimedyne from 1992 to 1998, most recently as manager of software engineering.
