LAGUNA BEACH
The school board Tuesday will discuss strategies to promote diversity across its four campuses in Laguna Beach.
“You look at [Capistrano Unified School District] and it is much more diverse than our district,” said board member Kathryn A. Turner.
Discussions could result in modifications to the curriculum or new programs.
Turner said finding strategies to increase cultural understanding has been a high-priority issue in the district because it will help students better assimilate into college or society when they leave Laguna Beach.
The school board meeting is at 7 p.m. at 550 Blumont St.
