NEWPORT BEACH
After almost a year on the job, City Manager Homer Bludau received a satisfactory performance evaluation from the City Council and has been recommended a 4% raise.
Following this, a committee composed of Councilmen John E. Noyes, Dennis D. O’Neil and Tod W. Ridgeway approved raising his annual salary to $145,600 and providing a $50,000 home loan.
Bludau succeeded Kevin Murphy, who went six years before getting his first raise. Murphy resigned abruptly in August.
The City Council is expected to ratify Bludau’s compensation package at its 7 p.m. meeting today at City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd.
