The two weeks of rain last month soaked plans to open the city’s new skate park and roller hockey facility next month.
The new rinks will now open May 27, almost two months late.
Kenneth Rosenfield, director of public works, said design changes contributed to the delay.
Contractor C.W. Poss Inc. was expected to complete the $15-million project, which includes four sports fields, a playground, picnic area and gazebo, in April.
Rosenfield said the rest of the site may not be opened until June.
