Tobacco Lawsuit

Just wondering what would best describe the possibility of a tobacco industry bankruptcy because of the huge Florida lawsuit (March 20). Might it be: You can’t have your cake and eat it too? Or perhaps: Don’t strangle the goose that laid the golden egg? Or perhaps both?
