Architects, Developers to Discuss L.A.’s ‘Design Dilemma’
Architects, planners and developers will discuss the Los Angeles region’s “design dilemma” at a breakfast program Friday sponsored by the Westside Urban Forum.
Scheduled for 7 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Regency Club, 10900 Wilshire Blvd. in Westwood, the program will address questions including: Is good design a financially viable investment? Has the design review process created consistency or simply diluted outstanding projects? Who is the arbiter of taste?
Panelists will include developer Rick Caruso of Caruso Affiliated Holdings; architect Craig Hodgetts of Hodgetts & Fung; and architect Michael Lehrer of Lehrer Architects. Moderator will be author and urban designer John Chase.
Registration is $50 at the door for nonmembers. For information call (310) 394-0253.
