* Randy Roscoe has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for Spatializer Audio Laboratories Inc. in Woodland Hills. Roscoe will be responsible for expanding the licensing of audio enhancement technologies. He previously served as director of business development and marketing for Silicon Magic.

Spatializer develops and licenses technologies for the consumer, electronics, computing and entertainment industries.

* Jewell Engstrom has been named senior vice president of finance for Disney/ABC Cable Networks in Burbank. Engstrom will be responsible for all finance-related issues, the formulation of new opportunities and long-term planning. Engstrom had been vice president of planning and control for the Disney Channel.

Disney/ABC Cable Networks includes such properties as the History Channel, Lifetime Movie Network, A&E; Television Network, E! Entertainment Television and the Discovery Channel.

* Dr. David Tillman has been appointed president and chief executive of the Motion Picture and Television Fund in Woodland Hills.

Tillman had been the regional vice president and chief medical officer of Catholic Healthcare West as well as president and chief executive of St. Mary Medical Center Long Beach.

The fund was founded in 1921 with help from Charlie Chaplin and Douglas Fairbanks. It provides care for entertainment industry retirees and their spouses.

* Soligen Technologies Inc. of Northridge announced two executive appointments.

Gary Kanegis was named vice president of sales and Robert Davidson was named vice president of manufacturing for the Santa Ana division. Kanegis had been with Key Technology of Walla Walla, Wash. Davidson was the plant, operations and engineering manager at Baja Pacific Light Metal Corp. and Western Wheel Corp. of La Mirada.

Soligen manufactures cast metal parts using technology that produces ceramic molds directly from CAD files.

* David Pollack has been promoted to vice president of sales for NovaLogic Inc. Prior to coming to NovaLogic in 1996, Pollack worked at Softkat/Baker & Taylor and Trimark Interactive. Pollack’s responsibilities will include sales and marketing of products in North America and distribution in Asian and South American markets. He’ll oversee product-licensing operations and communication between the Calabasas headquarters and the company’s London-based subsidiary.

Founded in 1985, NovaLogic is a leading developer and publisher of entertainment software.

* Mark Chechelnitsky has been appointed head of research and development for Digs Inc. of Encino, which will soon change its name to iVideoNow Inc. Chechelnitsky will be responsible for leading technical support.

Digs provides video on-demand marketing and promotional tools for corporate clients.

* 101communications of Chatsworth announced several recent staff appointments and promotions. Mark Sande has been promoted to vice president of marketing and business development, Stacy Money has been promoted to director of national sales and Marty Lieberman has been named general manager, Sigs/101 Conferences.

In addition, Cliff Mulcahy has been named group publisher, Chris Amaru has been promoted to editor-in-chief and associate publisher of Midrange Systems, Ellen Gould has been promoted to group publisher of Microsoft Certified Professional magazine and Henry Allain has been promoted to advertising director of Microsoft Certified Professional and ENT magazines.
