LAGUNA NIGUEL
The City Council will consider a recommendation to distribute $24,875 to nine organizations as part of the city’s Community Services and Cultural Arts Grant Program at its meeting tonight.
The city’s Ad Hoc Grant Subcommittee has recommended that the city distribute $18,200 to six community service programs, including Saddleback Community Outreach, which provides rental assistance to needy families, and the Capistrano Valley Boys & Girls Club. The committee also recommended that $6,675 be given to three cultural arts programs, including the Readers Repertory Theater and the Philharmonic Society, which provides in-school musical programs for kids.
The City Council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 27841 La Paz Road.
