Security will be increased for Thursday’s West Valley League game between El Camino Real and host Taft after a Taft student was shot in the shoulder in the faculty parking lot 45 minutes after Taft’s 27-0 homecoming victory over Cleveland on Friday.
Authorities are investigating the incident. The student was taken by friends to an area hospital, treated and released. He is expected to return to school next week, Principal Myra Fullerton said.
