No. 6 Santa Margarita (7-2, 2-0) vs. No. 8 Servite (7-2, 1-1)
7:30 TONIGHT CAL STATE FULLERTON
A week ago, this looked like a matchup between two teams fighting to get into the playoffs; now, it’s a game that could allow Santa Margarita to win its first Serra League title. League order was turned upside down last week when the Eagles upset then top-ranked Mater Dei. Santa Margarita will employ its winning recipe--a heavy-duty running game sprinkled with timely passes--against run-oriented Servite, which usually goes the way of tailback Lamar Mason. A victory by the Friars and a Mater Dei victory over St. John Bosco would create a three-way tie for first.
