Newport Harbor (9-2) vs. Kennedy (8-3)

Kennedy rebounded from consecutive losses to blow out Century League champion Villa Park in the first round, 45-14, but don’t expect nearly the same against Newport Harbor. The Sailors are a physical team, and that was the blueprint used by Cypress and Loara in earlier victories over Kennedy. Chris Manderino will be a handful for Kennedy’s defense. Still, Newport Harbor doesn’t have anyone to match the explosiveness of Rhema McKnight, so no matter what happens, the Fighting Irish will always have a chance.
