University (9-2) vs. La Habra (10-1)
7 TONIGHT LA HABRA HIGH
The two Pacific Coast League losers in the first round were outscored 83-10, and champion University has the league’s only playoff victory in the last two seasons. La Habra’s only loss was to Cerritos Valley Christian in the season opener. The fourth-seeded Highlanders have a balanced attack, but Mike Keeling, who has passed for 1,640 yards, can’t add to his 12 interceptions and give University easy scoring opportunities. University is going to need a big defensive performance, and quarterback Jay Nichols must make some big plays.
