Mary Cheney
* Re “Mary Cheney Just Might Teach the Right a Lesson,” Commentary, Oct. 3: Why would a person of such outstanding abilities, intelligence and capability as Robert Scheer attributes to Mary Cheney actively support a man who “compiled one of the most viciously anti-gay voting records in Congress”? If Cheney is the model citizen Scheer describes, why would she put her life on hold to elect the very men who promise to actively continue to deny all homosexuals the most basic rights and protections of citizenship? It is indeed a puzzlement.
