Change Your Identity for Halloween
Many of the costumes at It’s a Wrap are based on television or film characters because its inventory comes from the studios that used them in productions, so authenticity is a big attraction.
Children’s book and movie character Madeline is a hot item this year, and you can find her blue coat, yellow hat and red bow on the racks for $32. For the dad who will accompany her on Halloween night, there is an “NYPD Blue” uniform at the fair price of $35.
The whole Mighty Morphin Power Rangers rage created another way to go and costumes from the show, including shoes and helmet, run $25. If you must be a witch, you can get the clothes from “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” or create a Sabrina costume with a black witch hat, black unitard and sheer black shredded dress for $30.
Anything that looks like it was worn in “Planet of the Apes” is always scary, and there are plenty of those (including the heads) for $18. They are not from the film, but they are still scary.
Head toward the back of the store to the costume department.
All the trimmings to look like America’s favorite freaky family, the Munsters, are here. Or look for a hospital scrub and stethoscope from “ER” to give a diagnosis for the evening. And if Mom just wants to look glamorous, she can go as a soap opera star in a beaded gown for $25.
